Google to delete records from Incognito tracking
Google has announced that it will soon begin deleting records of user activity after 24 hours in its Incognito mode, in an effort to improve privacy for its users.
Incognito mode is a private browsing feature that allows users to browse the web without their activity being saved to their browser history or search history. However, Google still tracks this activity for a limited period of time in order to provide personalized search results and advertisements.
Starting in June, Google will automatically delete these records after 24 hours, making it more difficult for users to be tracked across the web.
This move comes as tech companies face increasing scrutiny over their handling of user data and privacy, with many users expressing concerns about how their online activity is being tracked and used by companies.
Google’s decision to limit the retention of Incognito mode data is a step in the right direction towards giving users more control over their privacy online.
